Portslade is a suburb town in Brighton, it grew from a small settlement in the 16th Century in a valley in the South Downs. It's vernacular character is built-up in flint-faced buildings, a village green and parish church, now within a conservation area. The Southern part of the town consists of a large seaport harbour basin, Portslade-by-Sea.
Brighton and Hove Council are appointing a team of artists to deliver a new piece of public artwork to sit on the grounds of the Ronuk Town Hall and the new Victoria Road Housing Scheme - which sits in the centre of the town.
